Can't Hurt Me - get okay with failing
1 min read
I loved this one.
Goggins’ story is very compelling. It’s the story of someone going through one of the worst possible situations and coming out the other side stronger. The part that stuck with me most was the ultra run, the one where he ran on an oval for many miles. That alone would have carried the book for me, but he also includes some practical advice and activities along the way.
The takeaway I valued most was to become okay with failing, and to just get back at it. That one has actually stuck. Especially in the gym, I think since reading this I’ve been more focused and not letting myself skip sets. It’s still holding up today. Not many books change what you do the next week, and this one did.
It stays at 4 stars out of 5 for me because it wasn’t very broad.
If you want a reminder of how far someone can push themselves out of a terrible starting point, read this.
